Learn English Learn To speak Spanish

YOu are very much familiar with the Spanish language if you are a native English speaker and live in United States. This is because of the fact that 40 million Hispanics are residing in United States of America on a permanent basis. So you can find a family in your neighborhood that uses Spanish as the language at home. That’s why if you think of learning a second language, your first language to come to your mind would probably be Spanish only.

Spanish language is effortless to acquire for English speakers. The first and the biggest similarity between English and Spanish is the set of common alphabet and words. There are other similarities in the language, which is regarding the vocabulary and are a part of learning process. This makes native English speakers comfortable with the language. This is why a Spanish speaking person learns to speak English and native English speaker learns to speak Spanish pretty fast.

The Spanish English combo is a very useful one in the United States. You can look at the facts and figures to get an approximate figure of Spanish speaking people living in United States. Out of those, 17 million Hispanics are not able to speak English fluently. You may also want to take a look at the growth of Hispanics in United States. In the year 2000, there were 35 million Hispanics residing in United States on permanent basis. In the year 2004, this figure reached to 40 million.

There's more thing to remember. With the rise in population of Hispanics in United States of America, there is the rise in market which is being constructed for Hispanics. Hispanics are growing and increasing in terms of population and in terms of prosperity also. In the year 2004, this market was $700 billion and up to 2010 it is estimated to be $1 trillion. You get a new business opportunity by targeting on Hispanic markets, so the need to learn English and Spanish is increasing rapidly.

Now, you don't have to travel your way along Mexican borders to search Hispanic residents. They are almost everywhere these days and who knows, you have a few in your own neighborhood as well. So while the learning process can be tiresome, it can be made easy with the proper environment.

Learning English and Spanish together also makes for the people residing outside United States become productive. So, they can also take steps to learn English and Spanish as well.

It is true that languages will always prove as best asset for the speaker. You can use them for business communication or learn them just for fun. So whatever the reason is, if you are thinking to learn a second language, it should be either Spanish or English.
